Fairfield University’s Charles F. Dolan School of Business has launched a new MS in Artificial Intelligence and Business Analytics, transitioning from its previous business analytics master’s program to meet the demands of an AI-driven economy.
The program, which is STEM-designated, focuses on bridging technical expertise with business strategy. Students will gain hands-on experience with advanced methodologies through new coursework, including “AI Ethics and Governance,” “Leading with Analytics,” and “Generative AI Applications and Business.”
“Our new MS in AI and Business Analytics will position graduates at the forefront of the most in-demand career field today, where AI literacy is no longer optional—it’s essential,” said Fairfield Dolan Dean Zhan Li, DBA.
The previous iteration of the program was ranked No. 7 in the U.S. for Best Value for Money by the Quacquarelli Symonds’ 2026 Specialized Master’s Rankings. The school noted that the new AI enhancements are designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the evolving technological landscape.
Graduates of the program will be prepared to apply quantitative and AI methods to global marketplace challenges. Like the previous program, the new master’s degree is available in both on-campus and online formats to accommodate local students and those pursuing degrees from Shanghai, China.
“We’re committed to delivering an education that translates directly into career success and leadership in an AI-driven economy,” Dean Li said.
