The public is invited to a reception for “A Bevy of Beauty” at the Bruce S. Kershner Gallery on Thursday, March 12, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

The exhibition, featuring paintings by Nathan Rosler, Rosa Sclafani and Keith Magner, will be on view from March 5 through May 2 during regular library hours.

Rosler, who holds a degree with a foundation in graphic design, recently returned to painting after decades away from the medium. His abstract works blend structure and restraint with intuitive, process-driven exploration. Through layered surfaces, transparency and subtle shifts in color, Rosler examines what he describes as “the space between calm and chaos,” inviting viewers to linger in moments of ambiguity.

Sclafani, a Trumbull-based watercolor artist originally from Lima, Peru, creates realistic works inspired by the vibrant colors and culture of her native country. A member of the Society of Decorative Painters, she has studied at Norwalk Community College, the Rowayton Arts Center and the Silvermine School of Art. Her work has appeared in juried exhibitions across Connecticut and New York and was featured in the 2024 “Colors” Women Edition by Art to Hearts Project.

Magner, a Fairfield resident, studied sculpture at a young age before attending the University of Hartford Art School and the Alfred University School of Art & Design. An elected member of the Salmagundi Club and Art/Place Gallery in Fairfield, he is also affiliated with the Lyme Art Association, Oil Painters of America and the American Society of Marine Artists. Known for his plein air paintings of coastal estuaries and harbors, Magner often uses outdoor studies as the basis for larger studio works.

Admission to the reception and exhibition is free.
