Fairfield University continues its February lineup of arts and culture programming with performances, lectures and exhibitions taking place throughout the month.
Events are being held at venues across campus, including the Regina A. Quick Center for the Arts and the Fairfield University Art Museum, and are open to both the university community and the public.
Upcoming highlights include the Global Theatre: Performance Series presentation of Hell Has an Exit: Finding Freedom Behind Bars on Feb. 6 at the Wien Experimental Theatre. The production explores stories of incarceration and resilience through music and storytelling.
On Feb. 9, Scott Rothkopf, director of the Whitney Museum of American Art, will discuss the evolution of American art as part of the Philip I. Eliasoph Open VISIONS Forum. Religion scholar Elaine Pagels will speak Feb. 17 on “Faith in America 1776–2026,” examining the role of religion in American life.
The Quick Center will also host Los Angeles-based contemporary dance company BODYTRAFFIC on Feb. 20 and Minty Fresh Circus on Feb. 22.
At the Fairfield University Art Museum, the exhibition For Which It Stands… remains on view through July 25, with related lectures, gallery talks and family programming scheduled throughout February.
Many of this month’s events connect to Fairfield’s “America250: The Promise and Paradox” initiative, exploring the nation’s 250th anniversary through art, scholarship and dialogue.
