The Fairfield Museum & History Center is partnering with the Weston History & Culture Center and the Historical Society of Easton to present a Three Towns Bus Tour this spring, highlighting the shared colonial history of the region ahead of the nation’s 250th anniversary.
The tour is scheduled for Saturday, May 30, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will explore the historical connections between Fairfield, Weston and Easton, which were once part of a much larger early Fairfield community. Organizers say the program offers participants a chance to better understand how the towns developed their own identities over time.
Tickets are $80 per person, and space is limited. Advance registration is required through the Fairfield Museum’s website.
The program is part of a broader series of events marking the upcoming 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Following the tour, participants are invited to attend the opening reception for a new exhibition, “Happy Anniversary! Centenary Celebrations & Beyond,” at the Fairfield Museum.
The Fairfield Museum, located at 370 Beach Road, is open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with its research library available by appointment.
