As we quickly jumped into a “new normal” small businesses throughout Fairfield had to quickly come up with creative ways to continue sales and communicate with clients. I reached out to a handful of gyms in Fairfield and they told me how they are still reaching their clients, their plans for reopening and I can tell from the replies I received, they all miss seeing everyone.
• elliptica Fairfield
Renting group elliptical machines and live-streaming classes daily during the pandemic. We will deliver your machine to your driveway and help you get set you up for your classes online. Our classes are keeping the respiratory system strong and providing a 45-minute outlet away from the news and blues of the situation we all find ourselves in.

• Fairfield Strength
We have been training our clients remotely during this time. We use FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype, whatever the client is most comfortable with. We aren’t doing group classes remotely since our members are all very different and get customized training plans when they arrive for class. So we have switched over to private remote training. We typically run small group classes with 4 students max.
All members receive workouts in their inbox each week and have access to our YouTube channel which has some joint mobility and bodyweight workouts. The kettlebell workouts have bodyweight options and alternate options so they are scalable to any fitness level. We have also let all members borrow any equipment they wanted to take home with them, free of charge.

• Fit Club
Every day we post live 30/45/60 min workouts for free on our Facebook page. We save them and keep them up as posts so anyone can go back and do them on their own. The instructors are doing the entire workouts and we have a nice group of followers doing it with us! Members and nonmembers now too! Also, a couple of our instructors are able to live virtual training over FaceTime and other means with clients!

• Fit Finder CT is website that provides you with local trainers. With over 30 trainers providing a range of different styles ranging from pilates, yoga, weight training, nutrition, barre, and more. They also list what age category you are looking for from kids to seniors. With Covid-19 restrictions, you are able to have one on one training outdoors.
• Jarosa Studio
During this quarantine, we have moved our yoga, barre, and meditation classes online. Now offering weekly complimentary meditation on Monday mornings at 7:30 am to help all destress during this challenging time. Visit our online schedule to book a session.

• SOSF
We do 4 zoom classes a day and I have daily challenges like going for walks with the family, mobility, dance challenges, meditation, etc. we had our first gym trivia night over zoom which was a big hit.

• The Bar Method
We are doing zoom classes 3 times a day and are spotlighting 1-2 teachers in each class to show proper form. We are also doing an online Bar Bingo contest and delivering prizes directly to people’s homes. We are also selling our retail items at a discount and donating 25% of all proceeds to Bridgeport Rescue Mission. We’ve raised $2000 so far.

Gyms are opening on June 17th. We can continue to support them by purchasing classes for when the gyms/studios open up again.
